OverviewConstructing a new data centre less than a kilometre from an international airport created a unique challenge to CRSC. The airport radar units occasionally made sweeps that included the client's location. An electrical charge left in the atmosphere following such a sweep was sufficient to pose a potential hazard to data unless specific precautions were taken. SolutionCRSC, in partnership with Professional Engineers*, determined risk levels and required precautions. A facility design was developed that would provide the necessary protection for our client's data. The location of the computer room in the building, its orientation and construction all became part of the final solution for this customer.
* CRSC has established excellent relationships with accomplished professional engineers and engineering firms. We partner with these professionals to help ensure that your project will provide the level of satisfaction and safety that you expect and to meet applicable building codes. |
